On September 22, as the UN General Assembly opened in New York, a pro-Pahlavi activist entered an anti-regime rally across from UN headquarters and violently attacked a young protester. NYPD officers arrested him at the scene.

He was not a random bystander. His own social media posts show him with Reza Pahlavi, and he helped organize Pahlavi events in New York.

Part of a pattern

The attack is not an isolated case. A Reuters investigation published in July documented other incidents of harassment and violence by Pahlavi supporters in London, the Netherlands, Vienna and Vancouver.
